Laura Meyers has been photographing birds and insects for over ten years, She has a a deep awe and respect for these wondrous creatures which is reflected in the beauty and uniqueness in her work. Laura Meyers’ work has been published in books and journals including “The New York Times.” She is currently using the Canon EOS 5D Mark III with the CANON 300mm lens and the Canon 600EXII flash.
Laura Meyers lives the East Village of Manhattan and photographs at many of the New York City hot spots. Favorite places include Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, The New York Botanical Gardens, Central Park, Green-wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, Jones Beach and many other birding spots in the New York City Area. She frequents the southeast coast for the gorgeous shorebirds and recently has taken long road trips to Texas, the Southwest and Wyoming.
